In the morning we
begin with the Silver Pagoda located in the
Royal Palace enclosure and the royal
gardens. From here we explore the many
exquisite carvings, statues, pottery and
bronzes on display in the National Museum.
Before lunch we also visit Wat Phnom, widely
acknowledged as the site for the foundation
of Phnom Penh in 1372. After lunch we become
acquainted with Cambodia's tragic recent
past at the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum as
well as the killing fields of Choeung Ek.
Our day ends with a stroll around the
Russian Market.
