had a fantastic time.
All arrangements, guides,
travels, flights, hotels etc
were well arranged and there was
no major issue that made our
holiday any less enjoyable.

Our Guides
Shangi in Sapa, Anthony in
Hanoi. Vin in Hue and Honian,
Vouthy in Siem Reap – they were
all outstanding.
All had good knowledge, engaged
with us, and put the extra
effort in to make our stay that
much better. We were very
impress with all.
Special mention is needed for
Vouthy in Siem Reap – He is
passionate and very
knowledgeable about his history,
his country, and has a good
grasp of English and a very good
nature. He has a way of
explaining and linking the
legends and factual history. He
really stood out and we highly
recommend him.
Mr Mingh in Saigon is a kind,
soft spoken and well natured
gentleman, but lacks
engagement/communication skills
I believe are necessary for a
good tour guide. He is more
passive than active but we still
enjoyed out time with him.

Hotels
· Silkpath
in Hanoi – excellent. Good
location, Good staff. Good food
and clean rooms.

Bhaya Cruise on Halong bay –
Outstanding! Rooms, boat, food,
staff – everything was
excellent. Will go again.
·
Victoria Spa – very good (for
some reason rooms have no
air-conditioning, and been put
on the ground floor we were not
happy to sleep with or leave
windows open for air). Good
food.
·
Siagon Morin in Hue – excellent.
Beautiful woodwork and aged
French look. Breakfast in the
garden.
·
Palm Garden Resort in Hoian –
Fantastic, on the sea and glad
we spent 4 nights there. Staff
outstanding, food excellent as
was evening dining. A little out
of the way, but they operate a
hotel bus to get to town. Very
good swimming beach.
·
Grand Hotel in Saigon – other
old French style hotel. We were
very happy with our room and
hotel in general. Good pool area
with evening BBQ on offer.
Location good and easy to walk
downtown.

Angkor Paradise in Siem Reap. A
dump. Reviews in Trip Advisor
are 100% correct and nothing has
improved. Hotel creates a very
good first impression and then
everything thereafter is
downhill. Main complaints were
air-conditioning – did not work,
Water – no water, some water, no
hot, some warm, only cold, then
very hot. Dripped out the tap or
shower, then rushed out, then
stopped . It was a lottery. We
appreciate Asia-King offered to
change hotel for us, but we
decided that to pack, check-out,
go somewhere else, check-in,
unpack etc would waste too much
time, so we’ll bear it – just
one more night and just make the
best of it. I think it was the
right decision.

Train to SAPA
Other than this was an
“experience” – their web site
http://www.tulicotrain.com/
claims “Deluxe
wooden 4 berths
with embark on these carriages;
visitors will indulge in the
pleasure of the warm decoration
and safety. These carriages
feature a large space to fit
your luggage, a large corridor
and hot water suppliers on two
sides of the carriages. Locks
are carefully made to be sure
you never lose things when
beholding the panoramic views of
ever-changing scenery. Each
carriage can accommodate 28
passengers with the special care
of Pole-star guiding staff in
from the ground to the time you
settle down. Each cabin has 4
berths; all berths are
air-conditioned with water and
breads for individual. The
berths are remodeled to be soft
sleeper with air conditioning.
All cabins are air-conditioned,
equipped with safe lock and
bright,blarge corridors.
Facilities are modern and
well-fitted to bring you a good
night on the train.”
Well – quite frankly this is not
at all the truth.
Facilities were terrible, old
and very worn – sleeper lights
did not work, power-points did
not work, Staff were very rude,
and going to Sapa, the
air-conditioning went off at
midnight and we become a sauna,
toilets were utterly disgusting
and unusable, so we had to use
another carriage.
Coming back to Hanoi we had a
very loud banging sound – every
1 min to 2 min. It was very loud
and came from under the carriage
and lasted the whole trip. Staff
did not care about the noise.
Again we had no power-points and
berth light also did not work.
Again, staff did not care at
all. Toilets were cleaner on
this trip.
Train trip overall – although we
take it as a very unique
experience, I feel it is very
wrong to publish such un-true
facts on their web-site.
I would say it is more like
back-packers accommodation.

Overall
Every part we visited had it own
unique charm and appeal, so it
is not easy to single out any
one area that was better than
another.
It was ALL GOOD – a very
memorable and remarkable
holiday.
The guides were excellent, we
enjoyable the local food, it is
a beautiful country, rich
history, but with the most
intriguing road-rules!
People are kind people and there
is a lot of poverty, yet happy
people.
We would most definitely visit
again – just take it a bit
slower in places.

Bich,
I just wanted to say that we thoroughly enjoyed our trip down
the Mekong on the Indochine. The boat was very comfortable, the
crew were always friendly and willing to help even when we
couldn't understand each other and Minh was a great tour guide.
The food on the boat was excellent. And the Mekong was endlessly
fascinating.
The only thing we didn't like was the insects! They were
ferocious and we all suffered fairly severe allergic reactions
to whatever it was that bit us. It might be a good idea to warn
future travellers just so they're prepared.

I just wanted to say thank

in arranging our honeymoon.
All of our plans went
smoothly and as normal our
guides were fantastic. Our
guide in Chiang Mai was
excellent. Where we had a
free day or afternoon he let
us know things we could do
and gave us some options for
additional tours on a
day-to-day basis. This
enabled us to see and do a
number of things that we
would never have experienced
otherwise, such as the Tiger
Kingdom in Chiang Mai. Our
guide in Chiang Rai was very
knowledgeable on local

a fabulous job planning our trip in SE Asia.
Everything worked
perfectly. We enjoyed all the hotels, the wonderful restaurants,
the helpful and informative guides, and the interesting tours
that were scheduled. The entire trip was without a flaw. It was
perfect!!!! Our favorite guide was Khim Vuthy. He spoke english
very well and gave us a lot of information. We also liked Minh
in Saigon. The other guides were all very helpful and
responsible but their english was harder to understand. Our only
suggestion for an itinerary change was that we didn't
have enough time in Hoi-An, as we arrived in the evening and
left at 6AM. The boat on Halong Bay was The Best!!!! There
were so many special moments and we have memories for a
lifetime!

Ha was clearly the most well
educated and knowelgeable

From an Aussie perspective I

am now back in Hong Kong in front of
my laptop having had a most
enjoyable visit to your country.
Many thanks for all the arrangements
which all went very smoothly. I will

north west is well worth visiting.
You may be interested in the
following points for future
reference
The train is a necessary but not an
enjoyable experience Elderly people
have difficulty with the top bunks.
The train is noisy all the night
long because of the uneven track
The Victoria Hotel is probably an
unnecessarily expensive experience
for most travellers I am sure there
is a good three star which would be
cheaper
I came back by road becuse I wanted
to see the scenery between the
highlands and the plain this was
very rewarding.It takes a long
time-- about nine hours-- but a
break for lunch at a good local
restaurant in nice surroundings
would shorten the journey. This was
my own choice and the guide HUY was
most helpful in arranging this for
me. As I said in his report card "I
was an exacting customer"and he did
his best to please. His performance
as a guide was amenable,English very
good and knowledgeable about local
things for example in pointing out
the indigo plant which I had never
seen before but which used to be
important in HK.
I was fussy about wanting to eat
Viet food all the way. This was
enjoyable and interesting perhaps
you should ask your guests what they
want ? Don't assume that everyone
from europe wants to eat "fish and
chips"
The visit to the Mausoleum well
worth while and Ha long just what I
wanted to see although I skipped the
grotto because I have seen so many
limestone caves in my life
All in all thank you and Asia King,
and thank you so much too for
dealing patiently with me in good
arranging my visit at such short
notice.

Hanoi to our departure from
Phnom Penh everything went
exactly to plan and was to the
highest standard. The travel

that no time was wasted on any

were of an excellent standard
with service to match. Our five
guides were extremely

Cambodian food in local
restaurants. Our programme was
full to overflowing but, as we
were an individual tour, always

how to get the best from them.
Finally, to yourself. I have
travelled widely throughout the
world but have never had such an
excellent tour organiser as you.
Your ability to build a
programme which was tailored to
our wishes; you overall
efficiency; the speed of your
responses to my emails, and your
friendly. personal way of
working all made this trip by
far the easiest to organise.

Dear Mr Nam Nguyen
We are still on our journey! After Cambodia we visited Hong Kong, Dubai, Cairo,
Ireland and are now in the UK. We'll be home in New Zealand on the 31st October.
Our visit to
Vietnam and Cambodia could not have been bettered. The hotels could not be
faulted, your appointed guides looked after us very well indeed and everywhere
we went we received a friendly reception. Our pre-conceived perception of
Vietnam as a perhaps harsh regime was proved wrong as we came through the
airport - a big smile from the Immigration Officer and 'Welcome to Vietnam' was
our first surprise, and a smile at every subsequent greeting made for a very
pleasant trip.
We were rather overwhelmed by the traffic in Ho Chi Minh City and wouldn't wish
to stay there longer. However, the sights and bomb craters at Cu Chi reinforced
our feeling that the so-called American War was a travesty that should never
have happened! Alas, they are repeating their mistakes in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The Pandaw cruise
up the Mekong River was a highlight. We became very comfortable with the routine
and the dining. It was also a pleasant surprise that drinks from the bar - apart
from wine and exotic spirits - were free of charge, so we didn't have bar
charges at the end of the cruise. Siem Reap was delightful, excellent hotel,
sights that we came to see and a thoughtful guide.
So, sorry - we cannot suggest any improvements!
A further trip into your area is unlikely in the short term - and at our age,
the long term always has question marks . However, we will always recommend your
services when our experiences are discussed

We have now been home for 2 weeks
and have just celebrated our sons
wedding day.
Our trip to Vietnam has been the
very best holiday and overseas
travel experience that we have ever
had. We cannot stop telling our
friends and anyone who will listen
just how wonderful it was.
The itinerary that you presented for
us was so diverse and so well
organised we were continually
surprised by everything your country
had to offer.
We appreciated the punctuality of
tour guides and drivers, the
cleanliness of the vehicles and the
broad knowledge of each guide for
their particular region.
We loved the food, had lots of fun
at the cooking class in Hoi An, and
loved the resturants that were
selected along the way. We felt
very special and thoroughly enjoyed
these dining experiences.
The hotels were very comfortable
with wonderful breakfasts. The
Empress hotel in HCM city did not
come up to the standard of the
others that we stayed at, but I have
noticed that Asia King is only using
The Empress as a 2 star now.
The highlight of our trip was the
Mai Chau trek with Mr Wah Hoa as our
guide, and Tu who accompanied us and
prepared meals along the way. We
felt totally immersed in the culture
of the H'mong and White Thai people,
appreciating the natural landscape
and farming areas that we passed
through. Not to mention the
hospitality of the families that we
visited.
We hope to visit again in the next
couple of years, including Laos and
other areas in North West Vietnam.
We thoroughly enjoyed Mr Wah Hoa's
company and would join his treks or
adventures at any time. Could you
please correct me if I have spelt
his name wrong, as I would like to
have the correct spelling for my
photo album.
After hearing some horror stories
from other travellers, travelling
with other companies with regard to
handwritten names at the airports,
we noticed and appreciated the
professionalism of Asia King with
our names clearly and consistently
printed by computer printout at
every pick up point. (Not able to
be copied by Taxi drivers).

Irena and I were VERY pleased with
the service that we received from
Asia King. All the arrangements
were absolutely perfect. In 25 days
of travelling we were only let down
once, when a driver failed to show
up at The Majestic in HCMC to take
us to David Taylor's house, at the
end of our second day in the city.
However the situation was recovered
by your excellent guide, Da Lat, who
made sure that we got a back-up
driver within the hour. Da Lat,
knowing that David Taylors house was
difficult to find, also spend some
of his own time locating the house
to make sure that he was not late
the following day, which we thought
was exemplary service.
I do not have time right now to
write comments in full, but I intend
to write down some of my thoughts
and comments in detail when we get
back to Spain at the end of
February. We are currently in
Singapore, so we are not yet home!
Thank you again to you and all the

The tour from start
to finish was excellent. I had a mis expectation on the Victoria sleeper train
but I now know we got first class accommodations. Service, accommodations and
amenities at the Hanoi Melia Hotel was more than we expected. A visit to the
old Hanoi Prison was a surprise extra that we did not expect. Sapa was very
good but it was raining and foggy but very interesting and scenic. Also the
Walk and Trekking to Cat Cat was too much for me and my Mrs. but the the other
youngsters enjoyed the walk. The tour guide made adjustments. Overall it was
very good. Halong Bay Cruise aboard the IndoChina Sail was awesome and I am
glad to have seen it. The stops at the Humanity Centers hit deep in my heart
on what harm Agent Orange did to the people of Vietnam.
Mr. Ha did an excellent job even
on arranging and explaining the Vietnam Visa Process. We had no trouble and
everything went exactly as he described.
I will recommend this tour to my
friends and customers.

Hello Mr. ( the young) Ha,
Thank you for your note. We had
a fantastic vacation in your
country. It was a joy to see
all the varied terrains and
peoples of the country. It also
gave us great insight into our
shared history.
Your guides and drivers were
excellent. They took very good
care of us and showed a great
sense of responsibility. My
suggestion though is to give us
travelers a suggested tipping
range. Both a low end and a
high end. Within your document
that confirms the itinerary ,
might be a good place to add
some info about tipping
amounts.
Also the restaurants that we ate
at were good but a bit
redundant. I know you were
probably trying to find us the
cleanest places with good
food. In Nha Trang we ate at
the same restaurant twice, which
though the food was fine it was
essentially the same meal the
next day. I personally like to
try a variety of restaurants.
Also, in Da lat, the restaurant
at the Sofitel palace, as a
white European-American
traveler, should not be missed.
Though it is somewhat French
-Vietnamese fusion it was one of
the most romantic with the best
food and service I have had all
over the world. This should be
suggested as a place to eat but
you don't necessarily have to
include it in your program as it
is not cheap.
Shopping, one or two of those
government backed shopping
places is fine, it would have
been nice to find some more
authentic Vietnamese shopping
experiences. I feel we paid on
the high end.
I also would have liked to visit
more of the smaller non-tourist
villages, even if it were just a
drive/walk through. I felt like
we were kept on the tourist
route, which based on the time
we had was fine.
The Horison is not the best
hotel for tourists because it is
so far from the tourist area and
traffic being what it is in
Hanoi is somehwat problematic.
It would have been nice to be
able to walk into the old
quarter from the hotel. I
realize this was a last resort
because of the busy season. I
think though I would have
considered a good 4 star hotel
near the old quarter. Food in
Hanoi was the same we ate in the
same restaurant twice that was
okay, certainly no Vietnamese
eating in these restaurants.
There must have been some fine
Vietnamese Restaurants in Hanoi.
But again these comments are all
in retrospect. Maybe a
suggestion would be to look
through some of the Vietnam
tourist books for suggested
restaurants and make these
options for your clients to
choose from.
We had a wonderful trip and
would highly recommend your
service.
