01, Tuesday :: Heho - Kyaing Tong :: B/-/-

.In the afternoon domestic flight to Kyaing
Tong. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel.
Sightseeing will start to WAN PAUK, a village of
the red clothed Palaung tribe, famous for their
silver and lacquered waistbands.Overnight at
Hotel in Kyaing Tong.
Day 02, Wednesday :: Kyaing Tong - Trekking, Loi
Mwe :: B/-/-
After
breakfast visit to Kyaing Tong BAZAAR to observe
the colourful trading of Chinese merchants and
of the different minority tribes from this area.
Afterwards proceed to LOI MWE (appr.2hrs drive).
Loi Mwe which literally translated means "misty
mountain" is at an altitude of over 1600 meters
above sea level. It commands a magnificent view
of the surrounding area and enjoys a temperate
climate. Visit the old colonial governor's house
and an old church. The main attraction along the
way is the scenery on the ascent to Loi Mwe,
which passes through forests, terraced rice
fields. On the way back from Loi Mwe you will
have several stops to visit different villages.
WAN LUN SHAN VILLAGE, HO LUP AKHA VILLAGE where
you can see the traditional Akha tribes with
their colourful dresses; NANG CHO WA VILLAGE and
PANG-Y Lahu village on the left and right side
of the road. Late afternoon you will be back in
Kyaing Tong. Overnight at Hotel in Kyaing Tong.
Day 3, Thursday :: Kyaing Tong - Trekking,
surrounding hill tribes :: B/L/-
After
breakfast, morning visit TO PIN TAUK VILLAGE,
after trekking you will reach Akha and Ann
tribes. Picnic lunch will be served at PIN-TAUK
WATERFALL. Further you will explore WAN KAN
VILLAGE to observe the traditional production of
Sake' Rice Wine, followed by Shan paper workshop
in Wan Lau village. In the afternoon return back
to Kyaing Tong. Overnight at Hotel in Kyaing
Tong. (Picnic lunch will be arranged)
Day 4, Thursday :: Kyaing Tong - Chinese Border

After
breakfast, drive to MONG LA, so called
"opium-free zone" (86 km, 3 hours), located at
the CHINESE BORDER. Most Pagodas are relatively
new, but it's worth to visit DWAY NAGARA GOLDEN
PAGODA. Further visit the DRUG ERADICATION
MUSEUM, where photos are shown about the
destruction of poppy fields and drug raffineries
in this WA controlled area. The town is also
quite popular for many Asian visitors for its
amusement facilities such as night clubs,
Karaoke bars and casinos. Late afternoon return
back to Kyaing Tong. Overnight at Hotel in
Kyaing Tong.
Day
5, Saturday:: Kyaing Tong - Heho :: B/-/-
Yangon Airways HK 728 ETD 15:00 ETA 15:55. After
Breakfast at the Hotel, visit DHAT ZOAM DOI
ancient Pagoda followed by Akhe's WAN SAI
VILLAGE (different to Akha village) and Ann's o
Lung village beside the road. Before check in at
the airport, you will have the chance for lunch
at Pan-Kaba Restaurant (own account). Flight to
Heho.
