Day 1 :: Arrival Yangon by morning flight :: -/-/-

Our l guide will meet on arrival at Yangon International Airport. If arriving by morning or mid-day flight, transfer to hotel. Proceed for a sightseeing tour that includes the old colonial-style city centre with the gilded SULE PAGODA, dating back over 2,000 years; BOGYOKE (SCOTT'S) MARKET with hundreds of stores; CHAUK HTAT GYI, a huge reclining Buddha image followed by a photo stop made at KARAWEIK HALL, a royal floating barge. An extended visit to SHWEDAGON PAGODA, one of the world's most spectacular religious monuments, will conclude today's sightseeing tour of this picturesque Garden City. The golden dome of the Shwedagon Pagoda rises 98 meters above its base and is covered with 60 tons of pure gold. Stay overnight at Hotel in Yangon.

Day 2 :: Yangon - Pyay :: B/-/-

After breakfast, drive by private car to Pyay (288 km, 6 hours), formerly known as Prome. Before you will arrive Pyay, visit SHWE-MYETMAN PAYA, the only Buddha Image worldwide with golden Spectacles and SHWE NAT TAUNG PAYA, according to the legend, this Paya was built with the help of local nat. In Pyay visit SHWESANDAW PAYA, direct in the heart of the city. Stay overnight at Hotel in Pyay.

Day 3 :: Yangon - Pyay - Ahauk Taung - Sri Ksetra :: B/-/-

Early morning, about 06:30 a.m., drive to the other side of the Ayeyarwady river, by boat you will continue, to observe the beautiful Buddha Images of AHKAUK TAUNG, which are carved in the sandstone cliff at the riverside. Afterwards return back to Pyay. Further explore HMAWZA & THAYEKHITTYA (SRI KSETRA), an ancient Pyu city site. Tour includes PAYAMA, the MUSEUM, near the old palace site, BAWBAWGYI PAYA and BEBE PAYA. Stay overnight at Hotel in Pyay.

Day 4 :: Pyay - Salay - Bagan by car :: B/-/-

After breakfast, drive to Bagan (ca. 450 km, 8 hours) by car. On the way, between Chauk and Salay, visit SHIN BIN SAR CHO, a very interesting Pagoda complex, famous for its exquisite paintings. Salay has more working monasteries than Bagan nowadays. Visit the probably largest lacquer Buddha image near THADANAYAUNGGYI KYAUNG and HKINKYIZA KYAUNG, a Buddhist library and YOUQSON KYAUNG, the oldest still existing wooden monastery hall in Bagan area. Afterwards drive to Bagan. Stay overnight at Hotel in Bagan.

Day 5 :: Bagan :: B/-/-

After breakfast, proceed for sightseeing at the busy local market and continue to a diverse selection of the most important Pagodas and temples such as SHWEZIGON PAGODA, which was built by King Anawratha in the early century. Continued by KU BYAUK GYI, a temple with exquisite murals of Jataka scenes, KHAY MIN GA TEMPLE, which is noted for its spectacular panoramic view of the area's many monuments, and ANANDA TEMPLE with four huge standing Buddha images and numerous seated figures in niches inside the gallery. Enjoy the sunset from MINGALA ZEDI. Stay overnight at Hotel in Bagan.

Day 6 :: Bagan :: B/-/-

Another interesting sightseeing day in Bagan. After breakfast at the hotel, continue sightseeing to an old NOODLE COTTAGE and observe the daily life the people in TAUNGBI VILLAGE. After lunch you will go to nearby MYINKABA VILLAGE to see the incredible fine art of doing the famous lacquerware. Afterwards proceed to MYINGABA GU BYAUKGYI TEMPLE, noted for its ancient mural paintings under the protection of UNESCO. In the late afternoon take a romantic boat trip (1 ½ hrs) on the famous Ayeyarwady River. Stay overnight at Hotel in Bagan.

Day 7 :: Bagan - Mandalay by morning flight :: B/-/-

After breakfast at hotel, transfer to airport for domestic flight to MANDALAY. Upon arrival at Mandalay Airport, proceed directly to AMARAPURA. Visit MAHAGANDAYON, a famous Buddhist monastery, where more than a thousand monks live and study; continue to 200-year- old U BEIN teak bridge, built in 1782 at the time when Amarapura was the royal capital. Visit of BAGAYA MONASTERY with a superb collection of Buddha statues.  Sightseeing after lunch includes an excursion to the former capital of INWA (AVA). Visit of NANMYINT WATCHTOWER, the remains of the palace building nicknamed "leaning tower of Ava", MAHA AUNGMYE BONZAN MONASTERY, built of brick and stucco and BAGAYAR MONASTERY, famous for its impressive ornate woodcarvings and teak posts. Continue to SAGAING HILLS, a retreat for Buddhist devotees, for sunset. Overnight at Hotel in Mandalay.

Day 8 :: Mandalay-Mingun by boat :: B/-/-

After breakfast, Boat excursion (1 hour) up the AYEYARWADDY RIVER to MINGUN, site of the world's largest intact BRONZE BELL, 3.7 meters high and weighing 87 tons. Also visit the huge but unfinished MINGUN PAYA built to be the world's biggest pagoda and the beautiful HSINBYUME PAYA.Afternoon, sightseeing tour continue MAHAMUNI PAGODA with its spectacular Buddha image covered with thick layers of gold leaves, SHWE INBIN, one of the most outstanding monasteries in the country, SHWE NAN DAW KYAUNG or GOLDEN PALACE MONASTERY, a superb example of a traditional wooden building and KUTHODAW PAGODA, known as the world's largest book, consisting of 729 marble slabs engraved with Buddhist scriptures. A visit is also made to a jetty to observe daily life at the river and to a craftsmen's workshop to see Kalaga tapestries being created. Enjoy sunset from Mandalay Hill, with panoramic view over the city. Stay overnight at Hotel in Mandalay.

Day 9 :: Mandalay - Heho by morning flight, Pindaya :: B/-/-

After breakfast at hotel, transfer to airport for domestic flight to HEHO. Drive (60 km - 1 1/2 hours) to PINDAYA. Lunch is followed by a visit of the PINDAYA CAVES, unique for the thousands of Buddha images placed there by pilgrims over many centuries. Stay overnight at Hotel in Pindaya.

Day 10 :: Pindaya-Inle Lake :: B/-/-

After breakfast, drive to NYAUNG SHWE (90 km - 2 1/2 hours). An excursion by boat on Inle Lake will include sights of the famous leg rowers, typical floating gardens, local methods of fishing and village life. Further visits are made to PHAUNGDAW OO PAGODA, the weaving village of INPAWKHON and other sights. Stay overnight at Hotel on/at the Lake.

Day 11 :: Inle Lake - Indein - Heho - Yangon :: B/-/-

Early morning after breakfast, visit INDEIN VILLAGE, located at the western side of the lake. Passing NYAUNG OHAK MONASTERY and follow a stair path lined up with many hundreds o wooden columns, you finally will reach the impressive SHWE INDEIN PA-O COMPLEX. From the hillside you have great view over the lake area. On the way back to the boat, walk through a romantic bamboo forest at the riverside, where you may observe local people having a bath.After this exciting visit by boat, transfer to Heho airport for the flight back to Yangon. Rest of the day is for leisure. Stay overnight a Hotel in Yangon.
