Experience daily life at the hill tribe village
of Ton Lung and you will get a unique insight
into a culture as exotic and different as that
of the Lisu.
PROGRAM:
Day 1 CHIANG MAI - LISU LODGE (L, D)
Pick up from the hotel in Chiang Mai and drive
to visit the hill-tribe Museum (closed on
Saturday, Sunday & Public Holiday) to learn more
about the different groups of minorities. Then
proceed to Orchid Farm in Mae Rim to appreciate
Thailand’s most beautiful orchids and continue
to visit the Queen Sirikit Botanical Garden, the
largest botanical garden in Southeast Asia.
After that, depart for Lisu Lodge. Upon arrival,
traditional welcome drink will be served. Enjoy
lunch. Then experience an ox-cart ride through
farmland and orchards to the Thai village of
Pang Mai Daeng (about an hour and continue to
end up at Lisu Lodge as circle route). Late
afternoon, Lisu guide from the village will take
you for a walk though the village start from Ton
Lung temple to view the herbal garden then
continue to visit the Lisu village families with
a stop for a cup of tea and a traditional
medicine at the shaman’s house. Afterwards visit
to the cultural center or so called the “museum”
created by the villagers. In side you will find
a display of typical items from the Lisu as well
as the Akha tribes. Time at leisure until Thai
dinner with traditional Lisu dance show.

Day 2 LISU LODGE - CHIANG MAI (B, L)
After breakfast at the lodge, Start your
adventure with cycling about 13 km. to the
rafting point for a 45-minute rafting on an
inflatable raft down the river and end up at
Thai village. Short transfer to the Elephant
Camp for picnic lunch. Enjoy an hour of elephant
ride through the beautiful mountainous jungle
and end up by the river. Then, take a short
drive to an Akha village for a visit including
talking with shaman. To return to the Lisu
Lodge, you have a choice of either by bike or
sit in the local truck. Then proceed to hotel or
airport in Chiang Mai. End of services.
